I love health and medicine topics, but I also love teaching. I had the opportunity at UC Berkeley, where I earned my bachelor's degree in biology, to teach the lab section of a biology course. I've also tutored students in the sciences, led study groups, and helped special needs students learn biology. Through this experience, I've gained the ability to show students I look at problems from different perspectives, which means I can accommodate the unique and diverse background and learning style of each student. This adaptability is an important quality in a tutor, because I help students to be taught in the way that they learn best. I also try to make sessions fun and interesting to reduce stress and anxiety, and to increase engagement. I am looking forward to tutoring students in biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and other related courses. When I have some free time, I enjoy meeting new people, running, and practicing judo.
